SW: 255.7 lbs CW 245.5 lbs Total Lost -1.2 lbs
The last two weeks of weigh ins have been disappointing and frustrating 🙁 I am currently + 0.5 lbs. I have been working on steadily increasing my activity and tracking my eating. I have had a few indulgences on the weekends but have stayed within my daily and weekly points allowance.
I have learned while researching & reading articles online, it is normal in the first few weeks of starting a new exercise routine to have some water retention as part of your body’s natural healing process. This article was informative:
“A new exercise regimen puts stress on your muscle fibers. This causes small micro tears, also known as micro trauma, and some inflammation. Those two conditions in your muscle fibers are the reason you may gain some weight” I need to be patient, trust the process and NOT give up!
I signed up my son & I do a Foam Fest obstacle course on August 24, 2019! I need to exercise regularly to build strength and stamina for this event. My weight loss goal is -40 lbs by the start of this event which is just a few days prior to my 15th wedding anniversary.
I also know that drinking water is important and I have been working on increasing my water intake. My current daily goal is 64 oz (4 x 16 oz)
I plan to weigh & measure all food this coming week and track in my WW app as well as write in a journal all food intake.
I took my measurements to compare in the coming weeks as I know that the scale is not the only indicator of success 🙂
